As we said last week, our Contracts Division just keeps on growing, this time with the addition of Harry Grandison who join us as Senior Estimator.
After leaving Lasswade High School, in Bonnyrigg, after 4th Year, Harry's career journey in Construction started were he became a trainee/assistant estimator with a local builder James White, which is now Miller Construction.
After completing his training at James White, Harry began doing day release at Napier University and moved onto Crudens were he specialised in Joinery, plaster, decoration, and plumbing estimating.
After 6 years Harry then spent a couple of years with Drake and Scull then Balfour Beattie, gaining much experience in multi trade estimating.
From 1983 he then spent over 8 years with the Frank Graham Group as Estimating Manager. Which eventually led him to joining D.H. Allan, Bell & Rose and then onto John Laing as a Senior Estimator.
After that Harry joined Sharkey as their Chief Estimator and worked in both Management and Director roles for over 10 years. He then moved on to Souness & Boyne before being approached by GHI Contracts to run their estimating dept.
The last few years saw him join Empact then finally to MPMH which led him perfectly to Insite Group.
